The Weather

I know it sounds a little over done, but yes, I feel like talking about the weather. You might be wondering what brought on this idea. Well, today is a day of wonderful weather. That’s right, it is cloudy and it looks as though it is about to rain. Ah, the rain is so relaxing. If you have not guessed by now, rainy weather is my favorite type. Of course, I enjoy every type of weather, but that is beside the point. Nothing matches the power of a storm. Nothing is more fun than sitting in a lawn chair outside while the wind is howling, rain is pouring down, and every few seconds you see a flash of lightning. Okay, maybe it would not be such a good idea to be outside, after all, you do not want to get sick, but that is what tents are for. Well, I am tired of talking about rain so I will talk about the second best type of weather, extremely hot and sunny days. The warm sun feels great, plus, the hotter the better. In my mind, anything under ninety degrees is freezing cold. I am comfortable in weather above one hundred degrees.

The Wonder of Reptiles

Today, I feel like talking about one of my favorite things in the world, reptiles. I mean come on people, how can you not love lizards, snakes, turtles, and every other type of reptile? They are rather interesting. Reptiles are one of the most diverse types of animals on the planet. After all, they could live on both land and in water. Of course, other types of animals can do this too, but who cares. Anyways, out of all the types of amazing reptiles, there is one that has to hold the crown for coolest reptile. Of course, that would be the king cobra. It is the largest species of venomous snake and an average on can hold its body up to be close to the size of a human. Talk about scary. Imagine just seeing such a dangerous creature staring you in the eyes. It is enough to freak out even the bravest person. Of course, there are a few people that overcome this fear and end up kissing the cobra on top of the head. There is some, but very little danger in this. The way the cobra’s fangs are shaped, it can only strike downward. Well, that is a good place to wrap up, so that is all for now.

A Relaxing Game

As I was pondering what I should blog about this time, my mind started to wander. It slipped to the land of video games. That got me thinking of one of my favorite games to play when I need to relax. Well, really it is a game series, not just one certain game. The series is called Harvest Moon and it focuses on building a life as a farmer. I know it does not sound very interesting, but trust me, you get sucked in rather easily. Almost every Harvest Moon game starts off with your character moving into a small ranch in a little town. You then meet one of the main characters who teaches you the basics of farming. After the first few days, you are free to do as you wish and build your life. Of course, there usually is a main goal of the game, usually dealing with causing the town to grow by shipping many different types of items. Now, for those that want to keep the farming aspect but want more, then the subseries called Rune Factory is for you. It is basically a Harvest Moon game with the added benefit of fighting and/or befriending monsters. Rune Factory games also have a more set storyline with multiple dungeons and bosses.

The Death of Manners

If you look around, you will see a very sad fact. As time goes on, manners have taken a back seat to fast paced lives and success. Now, I don't know about you, but to me that is a crying shame. If you do not believe this, then test my theory. The next time you go to a public place, hold the door for a group of people. You would be lucky if you get one thank you for every five people that walk in. Of course, there are some people out there that defy this logic, and to those people I say, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If more people respected each other and practiced even basic manners, the world would be a much better place. Not only that, but it will help to decrease pain and strife in the world. So people, I beg you, please watch your actions and try to be courteous. When someone helps you, say thank you. If someone offers you something you don’t want, respectfully decline. If we all follow these simple steps, everyone will be much happier. Well, I guess that’s it for now. Thank you for your time.

The Unappreciated Art of Cryptozoology

Now I know that cryptozoology is actually a science, but in my mind it is an art form. When you look at a proper cryptozoological investigation, you will see how much effort and grace that always goes into. Anyways, not too many people do not know what cryptozoology is, so let's break it down. The prefix crypto means hidden while zoology is the study of animals, so if we put them together, we come to the conclusion that cryptozoology is the study of hidden creatures. By that, I mean it animals such as Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, and anything like that. There are three main types of cryptids. The first class is creatures that have official gone extinct, yet sightings are still reported. The second type is creatures from myth that have been seen. The final class is purely mythological creatures that have not been reported. Well, that i9s a basic overview of cryptozoology so that it is for now.
